Summary: In 2016, California Governor Brown signed Senate Bill 1234 which stipulated the state’s Secure Choice Retirement Savings Investment Board to begin to develop a workplace retirement savings program for private sector workers whose employers don’t offer a retirement plan. The program developed by the Board is called CalSavers.
Summary: Starting January 1, 2019, California will now require employers with five or more employees to provide at least two hours of sexual harassment training to all supervisory employees and at least one hour of sexual harassment training to all nonsupervisory employees within six months of their assumption of a position.
